Ms Grudzinska undertakes work on both a legally aided and a private basis.

Information for privately paying clients

Ms Grudzinska is VAT registered and all fees listed below are not inclusive of VAT.

Ms Grudzinska hourly fee is between £150 and £200

Ms Grudzinska’s most commonly used pricing model for legal services is a fixed fee agreement. This means that the case is assessed on the likely amount of time required for preparation and court advocacy together with consideration of location of the court and the travel required to attend court hearings. A fee is calculated and presented to the client on the above basis. This gives the client peace of mind that the agreed fee will not be exceeded.

If Ms Grudzinska is instructed to represent a client through a solicitor on the basis of a fixed fee agreement, payment of the fixed fee is agreed upon with the solicitor directly and it is paid to the solicitor.

If Ms Grudzinska is instructed by a client by way of Direct Access the procedure is as follows:

A fixed fee is presented to the client. If the client agrees to the terms of the fixed fee the agreement will be put in writing and the agreed terms will be sent to the client in a Client Care Letter. Payment would be required to be made prior to the commencement of any preparation and prior to all court hearings. It may be possible to agree to payments by way of instalments.

Conferences (in chambers, by telephone or Skype): £130 – £200 per hour

Written advice in criminal matters: £200 per hour (depending on complexity)

Appeals against conviction: £750 – £1,500 (full day)

Appeals against sentence: £500 – £750

Committals for sentence: £400 – £600

Crown Court trials: £800 – £1,000 per day

Private fees for work conducted in the Magistrates Court where solicitors are instructing Ms Grudzinska

Plea/Sentence/Exceptional Hardship/Special Reasons hearings: £250 – £500

Magistrates Court trial (half day): £300 – £600

Magistrates Court trial (full day): £400 – £700

Magistrates Court trial refreshers (day 2 onwards): £200

Conferences: £200

Fees for Instructing Ms Grudzinska directly through Direct Access

These will be discussed individually however will not be dissimilar to the fees set out above.
